The Western Reserve Big Band has been performing in Northeast Ohio since 2011. We are a subgroup of the Western Reserve Community Band which was founded in 1997. We play a variety of big band arrangements ranging from early jazz, big band classics, Broadway, Great American Songbook, pop, rock, jazz, and contemporary music. Our folder includes music from Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and a variety of other big bands. We cover the gamut from traditional/dixieland to contemporary and popular music. We play for festivals, community events, concerts, country club, retirement and birthday parties, back rooms, fundraisers, assisted living facilities, and private events. Our repertoire allows us to cover quiet cocktail or dinner music as well as music appropriate for the dance floor. Our library features big band music from the previous and current century.
